A Few Words About Us

Our collections of handmade jewellery are made of porcelain slip and high temperature stoneware clay. Their main features are endurance and geometric simplicity in design.

Porcelain is very elastic and flexible in its process. Once fired in high temperatures (1,200°C to 1,400°C) it is then transformed into a very rigid and hard material, while at the same time it is defined by its natural while colour, its translucency and its crystal sound. Due to the natural glazed, non-porous surface that it develops once fired to high temperatures, it acquires great resistance in hard conditions such as extensive exposure in the sun or water.

White and translucent, light and elegant by nature, porcelain has become through time a very dear material to work with, for the construction of jewellery that bear Mind Art‘s creative signature, accompanied by our Certificate of Authenticity.

Mind Art is always open to new ideas and welcomes custom jewellery orders with enthusiasm.

A few words about our jewellery

All Mind Art jewellery are handmade from the initial stages of design and formation to the final stages of painting and glazing. Therefore, no piece of jewellery is similar to another. The dimensions are given in approximation, with probable deviation of 2-3mm. The colours illustrated in the photographs have a very close resemblance to the real colours. However, they can differ depending on the kiln conditions and the corresponding quantity of colour or glaze, since they are applied by hand and not by any industrial method.

All dongle earrings are double sided and their clasps are 925 Sterling Silver.

All necklace chains are also either 925 Sterling Silver or stainless steel.

The rings are all adjustable (minimum diameter 17mm) and they do not turn green or rusty.

The porcelain and stoneware clay used for Mind Art jewellery are fired in high temperatures of 1,240°C – 1,260°C. Although this strengthens the final material’s composition, the jewellery should still be kept protected from high falls and from excessive pressure applied on transfer or other type of management. You can find more information of each piece of jewellery, such as dimensions, materials and characteristics, on its corresponding analytical presentation page.
